We have enough room in the driveway for 2 vehicles. If more room is needed you are welcome to park across the road in the grass but we do not own that property. 

Park in the driveway, not over the top of it or on the sidewalk in the back. We have a septic holding tank so there is absolutely no parking in the grass. Watch out for the well cap to the left of the driveway (marked by a small American flag). If you have more than one car in your group you may also park across the street in the grass. 

Any damages to the property or furnishings, any mess requiring cleaning above and beyond the fee already paid, any charges billed to the owners of the Blue Coat Cottage due to the actions of you or your guests, and/or any evidence of rule violations<br />
by you or your guests (occupancy limits, age, animals, smoking, fire use, parties, events, quiet<br />
hours, good neighbor policy) will be paid by you and any litigation, if necessary, will be handled in Adams County where the property is located.<br />


We offer no contact check-in. Guests don’t have to worry about losing a key as we use a lock pad with codes unique to each guest.

24 hours before your arrival, you will receive a passcode to the front door. That code will activate at 3pm on your date of arrival and will expire at 11am on the day of departure.

We do have plastic plates, plastic cups, doorknob covers and outlet covers. 

NO parties or gathering events.
Visitors other than guests - Host needs to know number, time and identities of outside visitors prior to booking. 

We have a full galley kitchen with everything you need to make your meals in house. 

If you crave peace & quiet, but want to be close to all things Gettysburg we have you covered! 

We have a chiminea on the backyard patio. We often have firewood in the outdoor storage box for guest use, as well as marshmallow skewers. 

NO pets of any kind. I am highly allergic to dogs. We have this policy to protect my health and our other guests who suffer from allergies. There are many pet friendly accommodations in the area.

ABSOLUTELY NO smoking or narcotics on the premises. NO smoking in the cottage, on the front porch or in the backyard. If we see evidence of smoking it is immediate grounds for removal from the property without a refund.

High speed internet for working and streaming. 

My husband and I are huge history buffs and love walking the Gettysburg battlefield. When the opportunity to purchase the cottage came about we jumped on it. Now we have a place to retreat to in a town which is special to us.

Blue Coat Cottage sits directly across from Marsh Creek.
